Here’s the scoop! Harlowe is 2! We held a ice cream party to celebrate our sweet boy’s 2nd birthday. While we enjoy hosting events throughout the year to celebrate various occasions with friends and neighbors, we kept the first birthday party to just family and celebrated the same for this second birthday.
Invitations were custom made by Love Lucy Design and hand delivered with pastel vintage ice cream scoops.
We had planned to hold the party on the lawn but weather did not cooperate so a last minute decision was made to setup inside. Not quite as festive but, c’est la vie!
Months prior I had dreamed up an ice cream cart with awning to serve from and my brother was kind enough to help me bring it to life.
Harlowe wore his pastel monogrammed Beaufort Bonnet sayre suit and a vintage soda jerk hat.
Vanilla, chocolate and strawberry scoops were served with waffle cones and various toppings. Birthday cake by the fabulous Carolina Cake Queen.
Because Harlowe hasn’t had dairy or sugar, he ate a hand-made peanut butter banana “ice cream” (recipe to come this week).
Two years of goodness with this sweet boy. What a gift he has been and we are so thankful to Jesus for his life!
